When you level up…

There have been many times in my life when I could tell that I had grown in a specific area or had arrived at this new level where I just knew that I was different…

And I’m not really sure how else to explain what I mean by that, but if you know what that feels like then you know what I’m saying…

But what is more so interesting when that happens, is how long it can sometimes take certain people to catch up to the reality of who you are and act accordingly…

It’s wild because you oftentimes don’t understand why they are interacting with you in the manner they are when the version of you they once knew no longer exists…

And if you allow it to, it can cause resentment and bitterness to stir up in your heart if you focus on wanting to prove to everyone how different you are…

But I promise that there are much better ways to spend your time…

Because some people will always view you through the lens of their previous experiences with you, and no matter how much you level up, they will never have the eyes to see who you currently are…

And that’s ok…

And I say that “that’s ok” because your worth isn’t determined by someone else’s inability to see it…

Furthermore, their opinion of you isn’t going to stop anything that you are doing or stop who you are going to continue to evolve to be…

Unless you allow it to…

So continue to grow and evolve…

And remember to surround yourself with people who rejoice at the privilege to celebrate WHO YOU ARE…
