It’s so important to be honest with yourself…
And it’s equally important to surround yourself with people who truly care about your well-being and are secure enough in your relationship to tell you the hard truth that you may need to hear…
It’s so problematic when you surround yourself with “yes” men and women because they will really have you out here looking crazy, depending on what needs to be addressed…
But let’s circle back to being honest with ourselves because I often wonder if the lack of honesty with self really means that we are “lying” to ourselves…
Or is it that we truly don’t realize the truth that lies beneath the surface…
I guess both things can be true depending on the truth that needs to be dealt with…
I have done a lot of reflecting lately and I have come to realize that some of my most cherished relationships are the relationships I have with people who have never been intimidated to call me out or strongly encourage me to stop being complacent…
Those are the people who I am certain want nothing but he best for me…
Those are also the people who usually inspire me to become a better version of myself because the way that they conduct themselves calls out the greatness within though they haven’t said a word…
