Be good to yourself today…

Last week was the busiest week that I have had in a while… And while everything that I gave my attention to fell under the category of “things that I enjoy doing”… this morning I realized that I needed to turn off the alarm and go back to sleep  because my body and mind needed a little bit more time to recharge…

It’s so important to be good to yourself and listen to what your body is telling you that it needs…

But I am way behind schedule today…

I am a creature of habit at times… And I have a routine that I recently began implementing into each day…

Wake up… pee (although this isn’t something that I have much control over)… brush my teeth and wash my face… make some coffee… spend at least an hour of quiet time journaling and reading my Bible (heavier on the journaling side of things)… workout (on workout days)… shower… eat… start my work day…

So those two and a half extra hours of sleep that I chose to partake in really threw my schedule off… 

But it is so important to be good to yourself and listen to what your body is telling you that it needs…

So not one part of me regrets going back to sleep when my alarm went off this morning… because I definitely needed the rest…

I encourage you all to find at least one way to be good to yourself today…

It’s okay to pause the grind and nourish your heart/ soul/ mind/ body because if YOU don’t take care of you… the grind will be forced to stop…
